I found this great Article from 2002 which really points out the need for Parents to join together to provide friendship and support through parenthood's exciting but sometimes tough journey!
What is Parents Together?
Parents Together has been set up along side the BBC series of short programmes called "Pocket Size guide to parenting" transmitted on BBC back in October 2000. It aims to give parents the confidence to get together with other mums and dads for encouragement, friendship and support and just to listen when things are tough.
Attached is http://www.oneplusone.org.uk/Publications/parentstogether.pdf a leaflet which is definitely a must read.
Let me know your thoughts and feelings on this matter!
Parent Force has been put together as a correspondence aggregation point for all the parents at the Wooden House children's centre and surrounding area. This is a great opportunity to become part of your local Parent Force. This Website aims to be a central point that connects parents together, offering useful information and links for your every-day parenting needs. Please encourage your friends and neighbours to join in and attend meetings and events.
